Southwest Educational Development Laboratory K-12 Art Contest PDF Print E-mail

A Picture is Worth... 100 Bucks and an iPod!

The Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL) is pleased to announce an art contest open to K–12 students nationwide. The contest theme is "Education and My Future." Entries may be created with any media—e.g., chalk, paint, photographs, or digitized art. SEDL is looking for pictures that tell students' stories without words, not just the best drawing or painting.

The deadline for entries is November 1, 2007. Prizes include a trip to Austin and a Macintosh computer for the grand prize winner, an iPod 40GB, an iPodNano, and an iPod Shuffle as well as a $100 gift to the winners’ schools. Winning entries will be on display in SEDL's new headquarters building in Austin, Texas, where educators and community leaders will see them every day as they enter—a reminder of why they work to find the right solutions in education.

Visit www.sedl.org/artcontest for more details and contest rules. Questions? Send an e-mail.
